Data is presented below on life peerages created in the House since 1958, broken down by the prime minister in office, party and gender of the peer nominated, and the number of peers who were former members of the House of Commons. This data can also be further customised using the dropdown list at the top right of the page. Figures for prime ministers show the number of life peerages created during each prime minister’s tenure, including any nominations carried over from previous prime ministers (such as resignation honours).
